A packaging manufacturing company in Johannesburg, Gauteng is looking for a Services Engineer. This person will work with machines and utilities like water, air, and electricity to keep everything running smoothly. What the job is: You will service and maintain compressors and utility equipment. You will also help with planned and unplanned maintenance. The job is on day shift only. What you will do: - Service compressors and utility equipment. - Do planned and unplanned maintenance for water, air, and electricity. - Make sure service agreements are followed. - Ensure contractors follow safety rules. - Carry out preventative and planned maintenance. - Help with the asset care plan. - Watch utility costs and stay within budget. - Apply engineering standards correctly. - Help solve engineering and operational problems. - Look at breakdowns and find ways to improve. - Keep the workplace safe and report unsafe conditions. - Maintain good housekeeping standards. What you need: - A technical qualification in mechanical engineering or similar. - 3 to 5 years of experience in a production environment. - Good mechanical skills and basic electrical knowledge. - Computer skills. - Good communication and teamwork skills. - Ability to prioritize work. - Self-motivated and energetic. - Good English skills. - Valid driver’s license. - Willing to work standby and overtime when needed. What you will get: - A salary between R600,000 and R720,000 per year.
