What the job is

This is a job for a Learning and Development Specialist at a leading full-service legal firm based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The role focuses on designing, delivering, and improving training programs for employees. You will work closely with senior team members to create effective learning solutions that help the company grow and adapt.

What you will do

You will conduct training needs analyses to identify gaps and opportunities for learning programs. You will design and develop complex blended learning programs, including both online and in-person training. You will build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and provide expert advice on learning and development strategies. You will also evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements. Additionally, you will contribute to strategic projects and share your expertise to maintain high-quality standards across the team.

What you need

You must have a bachelor’s degree as a minimum requirement. You need at least 8 years of experience in designing and delivering complex training programs for multiple stakeholders. A postgraduate qualification in learning and development, organizational development, or human resources is preferred. Experience in legal or professional services, instructional design, and e-learning tools is a plus. Strong facilitation, presentation, and project management skills are essential. Knowledge of AI tools, learning analytics, and change management is also required.
