What the job is

What you will do

You will teach law modules for an agreed number of hours based on specialization requirements. You will prepare students for assessments by tracking module progress, identifying and supporting at-risk students, and managing student administrative tasks. You will also develop assessments in collaboration with the Central Academic Team. Additionally, you will monitor student engagement, attend academic meetings, and analyze student results to improve module performance. You will also complete professional development activities to enhance teaching practices.

What you need

You must have an LLM degree and be an admitted attorney. A qualification in Education (such as a PGCE) or Training and Development is an advantage. You need 1-3 years of experience in the legal field or related industry, along with lecturing or tutoring experience. You should be comfortable with online teaching and learning management systems. Knowledge of South African higher education systems and teaching theory is required, along with strong time management and adaptability skills.
