What the job is

What you will do

You will handle the day-to-day financial tasks for the campus. This includes recording all financial transactions, such as receipts and payments, in the correct ledger accounts. You will also manage cash sales, banking, and the daily cash-up process, including banking all receipts either electronically or on-site. Additionally, you will provide account statements when requested, handle refund requests, and prepare handover files when needed. You may also assist with suspending student cards and directing student or account payer queries to the national debtors team if you cannot resolve them.

What you need

You must have a Diploma in Accounting or Finance and at least 3 to 5 years of experience as a Financial Administrator. Experience in a higher education institution is preferred. You should be highly skilled in working with financial and numeric data, as well as using Excel spreadsheets. Strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and under deadlines are also required. A strong service orientation and the ability to manage reporting and complaints are important.
