This is a full-time job opening for a Laboratory Technician at Snackworks Isando Biscuits, a well-known biscuit manufacturer in South Africa. Located in Kempton Park, Gauteng, this role involves ensuring biscuits and related products meet strict quality and safety standards through testing raw materials, packaging, and finished products. Responsibilities include verifying Certificates of Analysis (COA), maintaining laboratory equipment (ISO 17025), handling Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), conducting GMP audits, and supporting FSSC 22000 certification. The role also involves training Quality Assurance Technicians and troubleshooting quality issues. Requirements include 2+ years of experience in FMCG (preferably baking/packaging), a Diploma in Food Technology, and knowledge of ISO 17025, HACCP, GMP, and GLP. Experience with SAP and AIB Standards is a plus. Strong analytical skills and teamwork are essential.
