This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Merchandiser Intern to join a team in the liquor and retail industry based in Durbanville, Western Cape. The role is perfect for someone who is energetic, enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment, and wants to gain hands-on experience in creating attractive product displays. You will work closely with leading brands and contribute to making stores look their best.

As a Junior Merchandiser Intern, your main tasks will include checking which products need to be displayed and ensuring the right stock is available in-store. You will inspect products to make sure they are in good condition, correctly priced, and arranged according to company standards. You will also keep track of customer feedback and report any issues or requests to the team.

Another important part of your role is maintaining accurate records of merchandising activities and keeping an eye out for products that are running low in stock. You will need to stay updated on promotions and product knowledge, as well as follow a schedule for visiting stores to check on displays. If you notice products that are out of stock, you will report this to the Regional Sales Manager so they can take action.

To apply for this internship, you must be under 28 years old and currently unemployed. You should not have participated in a similar internship before. The minimum qualification required is an N6 Certificate in either Marketing Management or Business Management. Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to work well in a team are also important.

You will earn a monthly stipend of R3,500 for this 18-month internship, which is part of the TVET N6 program. The role involves working 9 hours per day, including a lunch break. This is a great chance to gain practical experience in the retail industry while earning a small income and learning valuable skills.
