What the job is

This is a job for an Intermediate .NET Developer at iOCO, a company that specializes in information technology and services. The position is fully remote, meaning you can work from anywhere in South Africa. You will be part of the DevX division, working specifically with Toyota on software development projects.

What you will do

You will develop high-quality software solutions using C#, .NET Core, and Angular. You will write clean, functional, and defect-free code that meets agreed timelines and standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, testers, and other developers. You will participate in sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and regular code reviews. You will maintain and enhance existing systems to ensure they perform well and can grow as needed. You will build and integrate web services and APIs to allow different systems to interact smoothly. You will research and suggest new tools or techniques to improve the product or development process. You will turn UI/UX designs into fully functional and user-friendly web applications. You will take ownership of your code, including testing, debugging, and deploying it to production environments.

What you need

You need at least 4 years of experience in developing information systems. You must have 4 or more years of software development experience using C# and .NET. You should also have 4 or more years of experience with Angular, .NET Framework, MVC WebAPI, LINQ, Entity Framework (or another ORM), CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases is required. You must be familiar with Git-based source control and unit testing. A relevant Information Technology degree, national diploma, or equivalent work experience is necessary. You should be creative, analytical, and able to solve problems. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be a self-starter who can work under pressure. A curiosity for continuous learning and professional development is also important.
