What the job is

This is a position for an Installation and Support Technician at Lesaka Technologies, working in the Merchant Division (Hospitality) based in Mbombela (Nelspruit), Mpumalanga. The role involves installing and supporting point-of-sale (POS) systems for clients in the hospitality industry. You will report to the Area Lead for Mpumalanga, Eswatini, and Mozambique and will be responsible for ensuring smooth installations and providing technical support.

What you will do

You will install and set up POS hardware and software at client locations, including configuring stock control, administration, and reporting systems. You will manage go-lives, provide after-hours support, and ensure installations meet quality and compliance standards. Additionally, you will train client staff on using the POS and Back Office systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and escalate problems when needed. You will also collaborate with the regional technical team and take ownership of assigned tasks, including standby duties as per the roster.

What you need

You must have an IT qualification, preferably with A+ and N+ certifications, and at least 3 to 5 years of experience in IT or technical support. Strong Windows networking experience and excellent English communication skills are required. You should be able to work independently, solve problems effectively, and handle irregular hours and travel. Having your own reliable vehicle is also necessary.
