What the job is

This is a full-time position for an Inbound Sales Consultant at 1Life Insurance, based in Gauteng. The role involves handling incoming calls from customers and helping them find the best insurance solutions to meet their needs. You will work as part of a team to build strong customer relationships and provide excellent service.

What you will do

You will make outbound calls to assigned customers to introduce insurance products and build new relationships. You will ask questions to understand each customer’s needs and explain how different insurance options can benefit them. You will recommend the best products, guide customers through the purchase process, and ensure they feel confident in their choices. You will also keep accurate records in the company’s customer management system, follow up with customers as needed, and stay updated on company policies and industry regulations. Additionally, you will identify new sales opportunities by gathering referrals and recommendations from existing customers.

What you need

To qualify, you must have a Matric (Grade 12) certificate or an equivalent SAQA-accredited qualification. You must also have passed Regulatory Exam 5, and it would be beneficial to have a Wealth Management qualification. At least two years of experience in telephone sales is required. You should be comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office tools, and telephone systems like Avaya. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with the ability to work independently, manage your time well, and meet performance targets.
