ICT Support Technician

This job is for an ICT Support Technician at the Office of the Pension Funds Adjudicator (OPFA) in Pretoria, Gauteng. The role involves providing daily, hands-on technical support to ensure all employees and systems work smoothly. What you will do: - Be the first point of contact for all technical problems faced by OPFA staff. - Fix issues with computers, laptops, phones, printers, and other devices. - Set up and manage user accounts, devices, and permissions for new and leaving employees. - Help users with Microsoft 365 tools like Outlook and Teams, and secure network access. - Handle basic security tasks like protecting devices from viruses, encrypting hard drives, and reporting security issues. - Support system upgrades, user training, and disaster recovery.

What you need: - National Certificate or Diploma in Information Technology or IT Technical Support at NQF Level 5. - At least 3 years of experience in a support role. - Proficiency in Windows computers, Microsoft 365 tools, and basic networking. - Experience with a helpdesk tool like ServiceNow. - Problem-solving skills, clear communication, and attention to detail. - Trustworthiness and compliance with security rules, including POPIA.
