What the job is

This is an HR Intern position at Fidelity Services Group, specifically within the Fidelity ADT division in Cape Town, Western Cape. The role is an internship opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the Human Resources field while supporting daily HR activities.

What you will do

You will update internal employee databases with new contact details and employment forms. You will prepare various HR-related reports as requested by the team. You will help organize company events and career days. You will assist with the recruitment and onboarding of new employees. You will work with the team to improve department operations and handle HR administration tasks. You will plan and coordinate HR events, maintain filing systems, and assist with the annual BBB-EE audit process. You will also support the HR Manager with special projects and direct employee queries to the right team members.

What you need

You must have at least an N6, Diploma, or Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field. You should be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential. Good communication and interpersonal skills, along with attention to detail, are required. You should be able to work well in a team and handle individual projects. Knowledge of labor laws such as BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, and BBB-EE is beneficial.
