What the job is

This is an HR Intern position at Fidelity Services Group, specifically within the Fidelity ADT division. The role is based in Cape Town, Western Cape, and is part of an internship program designed to support the HR department in its daily operations.

What you will do

You will update internal databases with new employee information, including contact details and employment forms. You will prepare HR-related reports as needed and help organize company events and career days. You will assist with the recruitment and onboarding process for new hires and collaborate with the team to improve department operations. You will also handle HR-related administration, plan and coordinate HR events, maintain filing systems, and assist with the annual BBB-EE audit process. Additionally, you will support the implementation of organizational development and employee wellness initiatives, assist the HR Manager with projects, and direct HR-related queries to the appropriate team members.

What you need

You need a minimum of an N6, Diploma, or Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is essential. You should have excellent organizational skills, the ability to prioritize important projects, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. You must work well in a team, be able to drive individual assignments, and multitask effectively. Knowledge of labor laws such as BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, and BBB-EE is required. Attributes like working well under pressure, great planning and organizing skills, analytical thinking, negotiation skills, and attention to detail are important.
