What the job is

This is a Graphic Designer position at Make it Good, a company working with a well-known South African coffee roastery based in Pretoria. The coffee brand supplies premium products to major retailers, cafes, and hospitality businesses across the country. They have recently completed a rebrand and are now growing their team to help build their brand presence nationwide.

What you will do

You will be responsible for maintaining and rolling out brand assets consistently across the business. You will design internal and external communications, presentations, and documents. You will create brand materials such as print, packaging, point-of-sale displays, brochures, and magazines. You will also produce sales tools, trade assets, and support e-commerce, digital merchandising, and online campaigns. Additionally, you will develop social media content and campaigns, and prepare artwork for both print and digital, including checking and approving color and print proofs.

What you need

You must be fluent in Afrikaans and have a strong conceptual and visual thinking ability with great attention to detail. You should be comfortable working within an established brand system and creating new designs that fit it. You need to handle a high volume of varied work across different departments and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Experience in preparing artwork for print and digital, including color and print proof sign-off, is required. A collaborative, proactive, and accountable working style is essential. You must include a portfolio link in your CV showing examples of brand system execution, print, packaging, digital, and social work.

What you will get

The salary ranges from R30,000 to R35,000 per month, cost-to-company. Benefits include a performance-based annual bonus, a travel allowance, a provident fund contribution, and a laptop with a data or Wi-Fi stipend. The work model is hybrid, allowing for 1-2 days of remote work per week. Standard working hours are from 8 AM to 4 PM, with an early finish on Fridays.
