What you will do
You will create and manage a strategic fundraising plan with clear income targets across different donor categories. You will identify, cultivate, and secure funding from individuals, corporations, trusts, foundations, and international donors. You will build and maintain relationships with existing, prospective, and lapsed donors to ensure long-term engagement and retention. You will manage donor pipelines, identify new funding opportunities, and ensure fundraising proposals align with the museum’s priorities. You will also plan and coordinate fundraising campaigns, events, sponsorships, and partnerships, as well as develop compelling donor communications and ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and ethical standards.

What you need
You need a Bachelor’s or Honours degree in a related field such as fundraising, development, or communications. You must have at least 5 years of experience in a fundraising or development role, with a proven track record of successful fundraising campaigns and donor cultivation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, donor management software, and online fundraising platforms. You should also have knowledge of database management and CRM applications, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
