What the job is

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited is looking for a Frontshop Assistant to work at The Club store in Pretoria, Gauteng. This role involves maintaining product displays, assisting customers, and handling sales transactions in line with company policies and procedures.

What you will do

You will ensure all products are always in stock, neatly displayed, and not expired. You will restock shelves, handle customer queries about out-of-stock items, and maintain accurate pricing and labels. You will process payments, manage cash handling, and assist with stocktaking and stock rotation. Additionally, you will help with loading and offloading stock, keep the storeroom organized, and report any issues like damaged or expired stock to management. You will also provide excellent customer service, handle complaints, and follow health and safety rules.

What you need

You must have a Matric certificate (Grade 12 or Senior Certificate) and 0 to 6 months of retail experience. Having 1 year of retail experience or a certification in Retail Business Management is a plus. You should be able to work retail hours, have a South African ID, a clear criminal record, and a valid driver’s license with your own transport. Basic computer skills, numerical skills, and knowledge of retail operations are advantageous.
