What the job is: This job is for a Front Shop Assistant at the Dis-Chem Pharmacy store in Komani, Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will work as part of a team to maintain store organization, assist customers, and ensure smooth operations according to Dis-Chem’s standards.

What you will do:
- Ensure all products are stocked, neat, and not expired.
- Restock items and follow up on out-of-stock requests.
- Handle cash, card, voucher, and coupon transactions.
- Process returns/exchanges (if permitted) and manage loyalty cards.
- Organize the storeroom, check stock levels, and report damaged/expired products.
- Assist with stock loading/unloading, flattening boxes, and maintaining store cleanliness.
- Train new team members and ensure all stock is scanned before leaving the store.
- Provide friendly customer service, answer queries, and report complaints/compliments.
- Count stock and adhere to Dis-Chem’s stock control rules.
- Report suspicious behavior from customers or staff.

What you need:
- Grade 12 certificate (Matric or Senior Certificate).
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Clear communication with customers.
- Problem-solving ability and willingness to seek manager assistance.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.
- South African citizenship, clean criminal record, valid driver’s license, and reliable transport.
- Availability for retail hours (evenings, weekends, holidays).
