What the job is: This is a fixed-term contract position for a Front Shop Assistant at the Dis-Chem Pharmacies store in Okavango, Cape Town. The role involves helping customers, maintaining store organization, and ensuring products are stocked and displayed correctly. You will work directly with customers at the point of sale while following Dis-Chem’s rules and procedures.

What you will do:
- Ensure all products are fully stocked and neatly arranged.
- Handle stock deliveries, check expiration dates, and restock merchandise.
- Process customer payments (cash, cards, vouchers, coupons) and manage exchanges/returns.
- Maintain accurate product displays, labels, and prices.
- Assist with stock counts, loading/unloading, and store cleanliness.
- Provide excellent customer service and report feedback to management.

What you need:
- Matric (Grade 12) or Senior Certificate.
- Up to 6 months of retail experience preferred (1 year or Retail Business Management certification advantageous).
- Basic math skills for cash handling.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- South African citizenship, clean criminal record, valid driver’s license, and reliable transport.
