Front Desk Assistant - Kariega

This job is for a Front Desk Assistant at the Dis-Chem Pharmacies store in Kariega, near Uitenhage in the Eastern Cape. You will help keep the store neat, assist customers at the checkout, and ensure products are always available and well-organized. The role is part of a talent pool, meaning you may be called in when needed, and it is a contract position.

Key Responsibilities: - Maintain stock levels, check for expired products, and ensure shelves are neat and organized. - Process customer transactions (cash, cards, vouchers, coupons) and handle returns/exchanges. - Manage loyalty cards, till cash, and ensure accurate transactions. - Assist with stock rotation, reporting damaged/expired items, and stock counts. - Help with loading/unloading deliveries and maintain a clean, professional store environment.

Requirements: - Grade 12 (Matric) qualification. - Up to 6 months of retail experience preferred (1 year or Retail Business Management certification advantageous). - Basic math skills for handling money. - Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. - Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with SAP software preferred. - South African citizenship, clean criminal record, valid driver’s license, and reliable transport.
