What the job is

This is a permanent position for a Financial Accounting and Reporting Manager at Eskom, a leading company in the electricity, energy, and water supply industry. The job is based in Sunninghill, Gauteng, at Megawatt Park. You will be responsible for leading the financial accounting and external reporting team to ensure accurate and compliant financial statements.

What you will do

You will lead and manage the financial and statutory reporting processes to ensure they meet International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other legal requirements. You will oversee the integration of finance functions and processes, ensure compliance with internal controls, and manage working capital efficiently. Additionally, you will handle fixed assets management, insurance claims administration, and resource management to support service delivery.

What you need

You must have an Honours Degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Accounting, Taxation, or Auditing (NQF Level 8 with 480 credits) and be a registered Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). You need at least 7 years of experience in financial management, financial reporting, financial accounting, taxation, and internal control. Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, IFRS, and SAP systems is required, along with skills in leadership, problem-solving, and communication.
