This is a full-time Financial Accountant position at Unifi, a company providing simple and fast personal loans across Zambia, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, and Tanzania. Responsibilities include managing billing, loan schedules, recharges, and transactions, leading month-end closing processes in NetSuite, and maintaining organized accounting files. The role requires strict compliance with IFRS, company policies, and local tax regulations, including balance sheet reconciliations, audit preparations, tax compliance (income tax, WHT, deferred tax), fixed asset management, statutory returns, and lease reconciliations. Qualifications include a professional accounting certification (CA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) and 3-5 years of commercial accounting experience, preferably in financial services. Proficiency in Xero, Fathom, and advanced Excel/Google Sheets is required, along with strong IFRS and multi-currency reporting knowledge. Attention to detail, ownership, and adaptability are key.
