What the job is

This is a position for an External Sales Representative with Kontak Recruitment, based in Cornubia, KwaZulu-Natal. The role is for a growing company in the food and beverage industry that is looking for motivated and ambitious individuals to join their sales team. The job involves working outside the office to find new business opportunities and build strong customer relationships.

What you will do

You will generate new business by making cold calls and visiting potential clients. You will develop and maintain relationships with both new and existing customers in your assigned area. You will schedule and attend client meetings and sales presentations. You will plan and manage your daily and weekly sales routes effectively. You will also handle sales-related administration, update customer records, and assist with promotional events and product launches when needed.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate and a valid driver’s license. You need your own reliable vehicle to commute to and from work. At least 2 years of sales experience is preferred. You should be able to generate your own leads and find new business opportunities. Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills are required. You must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, detail-oriented, and able to manage your time and routes effectively. You should also be self-motivated, results-driven, and willing to work occasional weekends and public holidays for promotional events.

What you will get

You will earn a monthly salary of R15,000 plus commission. The company provides a company car for client visits, fuel, a cell phone, and a laptop. After a 3-month probation period, the position becomes permanent. This role offers the opportunity to grow within the company and advance your career.
