What the job is

Faircape Life is looking for an Estate Manager to oversee operations at two retirement villages, Heritage Manor and Bridgewater Manor, in Somerset West, Western Cape. The company manages retirement and lifestyle villages, offering secure living, healthcare, and well-maintained facilities. This role involves ensuring both estates are safe, functional, and efficiently managed.

What you will do

You will manage day-to-day operations, including maintenance, security, and service providers. You will coordinate contractors, ensure health and safety compliance, and handle resident requests. You will also supervise staff, conduct regular inspections, and maintain high standards across both estates. Additionally, you will prepare reports, manage budgets, and ensure all operational procedures are followed.

What you need

You need a tertiary qualification in Facilities Management, Property Management, or a related field, though this is advantageous. Proven experience in estate, facilities, or property management is required. You should have strong leadership skills, experience managing teams and contractors, and knowledge of health and safety requirements. Practical understanding of maintenance, buildings, and infrastructure is also important.
