This job is for a Groundsman to work at Faircape Life’s Tokai Estate in the Southern Suburbs of the Western Cape. Faircape Life manages six beautiful retirement and lifestyle villages, and they need someone who loves working outdoors to maintain gardens, lawns, and landscapes. Responsibilities include pruning trees, cutting grass, weeding, and general housekeeping tasks like refuse collection, cleaning outdoor areas, and maintaining gardening tools. The role also involves inspecting and spraying the perimeter fence for weeds. Applicants should have at least one year of experience in a similar role or gardening, with a Matric certificate being advantageous. A clear health, criminal, and credit record is required, along with two written references. The position offers a permanent contract with a market-related salary, quarterly bonuses, long service leave, and internet discounts after probation. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 45-minute lunch break.
