What the job is
The Desmond Tutu Health Foundation is looking for an Enrolled Nurse to work in Masiphumelele, Cape Town. This is a contract job that ends on 30 April 2027. The foundation works on research, treatment, and prevention of HIV and related infections in Southern Africa. You will help run research studies and work with a team to make sure everything goes smoothly.

What you will do
- Help with research studies by finding and enrolling participants.
- Take care of study procedures and record data.
- Draw blood and process samples.
- Check vital signs and do other medical tasks as needed.
- Keep the clinic area clean and equipment in good order.
- Teach participants about health and refer them to doctors or nurses if needed.
- Manage participant visits and make sure they move through all study steps quickly.
- Handle samples and keep track of temperatures for storage.
- Help with lab work and administrative tasks like filing and calling patients.
- Work with local clinics and attend meetings.
- Manage participant payments and keep records.

What you need
- Grade 12 certificate and a Nursing Certificate as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
- At least 1 year of experience in a research environment.
- 2-3 years of nursing experience.
- Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification.
- Good computer skills, including email and word processing.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle changes.
- Focused on helping participants.
- Good at working in a team and building relationships with clinics.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
- Self-motivated and innovative.
