What the job is

What you will do

You will also develop new chocolate recipes, test flavors, and ensure all products meet high-quality standards. Additionally, you will keep records of ingredients, monitor stock levels, maintain a clean workspace, and follow food safety rules. You may need to work overtime during busy periods.

What you need

You must have a qualification in chocolatier studies, pastry arts, culinary arts, or a related field. You need at least 5 years of experience as a chocolatier, preferably between 5 and 8 years, in a commercial or artisanal chocolate environment. You should have advanced knowledge of chocolate tempering, molding, and enrobing, as well as experience with food safety, hygiene, and quality control. Strong attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Reliable transport to Sandton is a plus.
