Casual Frontshop Assistant (Fixed Term) – Tygervalley

What the job is: This job is for a Casual Frontshop Assistant at Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Tygervalley, Cape Town. You will work at the store’s front desk to help customers and maintain shop organization. The role is temporary and involves following Dis-Chem’s rules and procedures.

What you will do: - Ensure all products are fully stocked and displayed neatly. - Handle stock deliveries, storeroom tasks, and price tag corrections. - Assist customers with purchases, payments, loyalty cards, and returns. - Maintain accurate sales records and report cash/transaction issues. - Perform stock rotations, inventory counts, and delivery loading/unloading. - Keep the shop clean and assist with customer service, including training new team members.

What you need: - At least Grade 12 (Matric) qualification. - Up to 6 months of retail experience preferred (1 year or Retail Business Management certification advantageous). - Basic math skills for handling money and stock. - Good communication skills and ability to follow procedures. - South African citizenship, clean criminal record, valid driver’s license, and reliable transport.
