Cashier - Jeffreys Bay

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for experienced cashiers to work at their store in Jeffreys Bay, Eastern Cape. This is a contract position where you will help customers at the checkout while ensuring a great shopping experience. The job is part of a talent pool, meaning you may be called in when needed.

As a cashier, you will handle customer transactions using the Dis-Chem operating system, including scanning items, processing payments (cash, bank cards, vouchers, coupons), and managing loyalty cards (Discovery Health Care, Medihelp, ABSA Rewards). You will handle returns/exchanges, maintain cash drawer security, and report suspicious activity. Customer service skills and adherence to Dis-Chem’s 5-star communication principles are required.

Requirements: Matric (Grade 12), 6+ months cashier experience, computer literacy (Microsoft Office), strong math/English skills, and willingness to work retail hours (evenings, weekends, holidays). South African citizenship with a clean criminal/credit record is mandatory. Local residence or reliable transport is essential.
