What the job is

Vans is hiring a Sales Assistant on a contract basis to work at their store in the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town. This role is part of Ares Holdings and focuses on delivering great customer service while representing the Vans brand. The position is based in Cape Town, Western Cape.

What you will do

You will help customers by providing product knowledge and styling advice to drive sales. You will process transactions, restock merchandise, and maintain high visual merchandising standards to match the Vans brand. You will also contribute to creating a positive and energetic store environment. Additionally, you will act as a brand ambassador, embodying the company’s values and culture. Weekend and retail holiday availability is required.

What you need

You need at least one year of sales experience, preferably in a similar brand. You must have a motivated and positive attitude and a genuine love for the Vans brand. A strong interest in streetwear, sneakers, extreme sports, and youth culture is essential. You should also be KPI-driven and results-focused.
