This job is for a Technical Manager at Bidvest Facilities Management, based in Bloemfontein, Free State. The role focuses on managing maintenance systems for customer facilities and ensuring services meet agreed standards. Responsibilities include creating and running an effective maintenance system (planned, preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance), identifying property/equipment risks, setting up Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), Quality, and Risk Management systems, managing resources (staff, tools, spare parts), monitoring technical staff performance, improving services, managing supplier agreements, supporting technical projects, training staff, and handling budgets/staff performance. Requirements include a National Diploma/Degree/B Tech in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field), a valid South African driver’s license, and 5+ years of experience in maintenance engineering, CRM, and property management. Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook) and SAP knowledge are required, along with understanding of OHS Act, ISO 9001, and Risk Management Systems.
