What the job is

This is a full-time position for a Systems Support Administrator at iLembe District Municipality, located in the iLembe area of KwaZulu-Natal. The role involves providing technical support and maintenance for the municipality’s IT systems to ensure smooth operations.

What you will do

You will diagnose and fix problems related to application systems and hardware. You will maintain and monitor the performance of application systems and operating systems to meet business needs. You will coordinate system change management within the municipality. You will provide user support and training to help staff use application systems and IT equipment effectively. You will perform backup and restore procedures for the operating system. You will prepare and submit monthly reports to your supervisor. You may also be asked to perform additional tasks as directed by authorized officials.

What you need

You must have a valid Grade 12 certificate and a National Diploma in Information Technology. Having a Microsoft Certified Solutions Administrator (MCSA) certification will be an advantage. You need at least 2 to 5 years of experience supporting Financial Management Systems (FMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. A valid driver’s license is also required.
