What the job is

This is a full-time position for a Supply Chain Systems Manager at PEP, based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. As a senior leader, you will oversee the supply chain systems and guide the operational and process teams within the company’s supply chain department.

What you will do

You will manage the supply chain systems, interfaces, and end-user computing tools. You will also oversee the functional skills of the team that supports these technologies. Your role includes managing system features and updates, providing both proactive and reactive support for operational systems within set timeframes. Additionally, you will take a broad, forward-thinking approach to manage high-level projects, support the supply chain strategy, and handle third-party service providers within the Supply Chain Business Solutions Team. You will propose new developments and technology, implement governance and changes, manage change processes and user training, ensure effective supplier and incident management, and lead the team.

What you need

You must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operational Research, or Information Management. You need at least 10 years of experience in systems, with a strong background in ERP, warehouse, and distribution systems, preferably in the retail industry. Leadership experience is required, along with a good understanding of supply chain systems and processes. You should be highly skilled in using MS Office, MS Project, or Google Workspace. Strong project management, presentation, and facilitation skills are essential, as well as a passion for warehouse processes, systems, and people development. You must also be willing to travel. Key competencies include decisiveness, performing under pressure, structuring, assertiveness, initiative, listening skills, organizational sensitivity, and innovating.
