What the job is

This is a Store Manager position at PEP, a well-known retail company. The job is based in Limpopo. As the Store Manager, you will lead the store team to achieve business goals, including increasing sales, controlling costs, reducing risks, and maintaining high store standards.

What you will do

You will increase sales by focusing on excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and attractive store, managing stock, and implementing promotions. You will minimize stock loss by following security measures, handling stock and cash properly, and fostering a positive store culture. You will manage costs by driving efficiency in the store and following the company’s low-cost approach. You will also handle administrative tasks according to company guidelines. Leading the team is a key part of the role, including training, coaching, and managing performance. Additionally, you will ensure health, safety, and cleanliness standards are maintained in the store.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate and be proficient in English. A degree or diploma in a business or retail-related field would be an advantage. Ideally, you should have 1-2 years of experience in a retail leadership role. Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office or Google GSuite, is beneficial. You should have a passion for retail, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. You must also be willing to work retail hours.
