What the job is

This is a Shift Manager position at Fidelity Services Group, a company in the security industry. The job is based in Durban North, KwaZulu-Natal. You will report to the Area Manager and be responsible for managing a site in a professional and efficient way. Your role is to help the company meet its goals by following instructions from management and adding value to the team.

What you will do

You will manage client relationships and ensure good communication with them. You will handle staff turnover and make sure the team is stable and well-managed. You will take care of administrative tasks and follow standard operating procedures. You will also supervise security staff to ensure they perform their duties correctly at all times. Additionally, you will need expert knowledge about all aspects of your position.

What you need

You must have at least a Grade 12 or equivalent qualification. You need previous experience in a supervisory or junior management role. You must be PSIRA registered (Grade A) and have firearm competency for business purposes. At least 5 years of experience in the security industry is required. You should also have a valid driver’s license (Code 08/EB) and a clean disciplinary record. Computer skills, especially in MS Office, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint, will be an advantage.
