This job is for a Service Manager at Isuzu Isando, a dealership that sells and services Isuzu trucks. You will work directly under the Dealer Principal and be responsible for ensuring the service department runs smoothly. The job is based in Kempton Park, Gauteng, and is part of the commercial vehicle retail sector.

As the Service Manager, your main job will be to lead the service team and ensure customers receive the best experience. You will develop and implement plans to improve service department operations, ensuring timely and high-quality repairs and maintenance. You will manage the team of technicians and staff, fostering their growth and motivation.

Key responsibilities include monitoring service department performance, tracking metrics like job completion time, customer satisfaction, and compliance with safety and company policies. Collaboration with sales and parts teams is essential to drive service sales and ensure part availability.

You will handle scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to meet customer needs. Building strong customer relationships and addressing feedback to continuously improve service quality is also critical.

Requirements include experience managing a service department, preferably in the automotive or commercial vehicle industry. Proven leadership skills and a strong understanding of service operations, including repairs, customer service, and warranty management, are essential. Good communication skills, proficiency with service management software and Microsoft Office, and strong problem-solving abilities are key.

While not mandatory, a Matric certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent is preferred. A driver’s license (preferably code 10 or 14) and experience with Isuzu trucks or similar brands are advantageous. Additional training in automotive engineering or management is a plus.
