What the job is: This job is for a Senior Site Agent in the civil construction industry. You will work for a well-known company based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The role involves managing and supervising construction projects to ensure they are completed safely, on time, and to the required standards.

What you will do: Oversee all civil construction activities on site, ensuring work follows approved plans, specifications, and schedules. Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Monitor progress of construction work including roads, stormwater drainage, sewer and water systems, and large earth-moving projects. Manage resources like materials, equipment, and labor. Ensure projects stay within budget and health and safety rules are followed. Solve technical or construction problems and maintain detailed records and reports.

What you need: Must live in Johannesburg with a valid driver’s license. Requires a degree, diploma, or national qualification in civil engineering (e.g., BSc, BTech, or National Diploma). Must be registered with ECSA or SACPCMP as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng), Professional Technologist (Pr Tech Eng), or Professional Construction Manager (Pr CM). At least 10 years of experience in civil construction, with expertise in road construction, stormwater drainage, sewer and water systems, and large earthworks. Strong understanding of industry standards like BuildSmart and CCS.
