What the job is

This is a Senior Refrigeration Technician position at CBRE Excellerate, a leading company in commercial real estate and facilities management services. The job is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and involves working with advanced refrigeration and HVAC systems across various managed facilities.

What you will do

You will perform advanced maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on refrigeration and HVAC systems, including DX units, freezers, cold rooms, VRV/VRF systems, and split units. You will diagnose complex faults and carry out both preventive and reactive maintenance to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently. You will also handle emergency call-outs, verify system operations after repairs, and escalate major issues to the Technical Supervisor when needed. Additionally, you will follow safety protocols like PTW (Permit to Work) and LOTO (Lockout-Tagout) to maintain a secure working environment.

What you need

You must have a technical qualification such as an ITI or Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or HVAC. You need at least 5 years of hands-on experience in refrigeration and HVAC maintenance, with strong knowledge of DX systems, cold rooms, and VRV/VRF units. A valid UAE driving license is required, and experience in UAE or GCC facilities management is preferred. Skills in troubleshooting, brazing, pressure testing, vacuuming, refrigerant charging, and using HVAC test instruments are essential. You should also be familiar with basic Microsoft Office and CAFM/work-order reporting systems.
