What the job is

This is a Senior Product Manager role at Lesaka Technologies, a fast-growing fintech company based in Plattekloof, Western Cape. The company specializes in financial services like banking, payments, and lending for businesses and consumers across Southern Africa. You will work in a hybrid setup, reporting to the Chief Product Officer.

What you will do

You will decide what products the company should build by analyzing market trends, competitor actions, and customer needs. You will maintain a clear view of the competitive landscape, including fees, user experience, and partner coverage, and identify gaps or threats early. You will run the innovation process, creating new voucher categories, bundles, and selling ideas, and turning them into testable plans. You will gather insights from partners, sales teams, and customers, then prioritize the best opportunities. You will also work with commercial teams to set pricing and revenue models and measure success after launch.

What you need

You need at least 5 years of experience in product management, preferably in fintech, payments, retail, or telecoms. You should have a strong background in launching new products from market research to release. You must be skilled at analyzing competitors and market trends, filtering out noise to focus on real opportunities. You should be comfortable working with commercial, engineering, and partner teams and owning outcomes without managing daily builds. Experience with vouchers, gift cards, or similar systems is a plus.
