What the job is

This is a Senior Advisor Human Resources position at Eskom, a leading company in the electricity, energy, and water supply industry. The job is based in Sunninghill, Gauteng, at Megawatt Park. It is a permanent role focused on providing expert HR services and advice to the business.

What you will do

You will provide specialized HR services in areas like talent and skills development, employment equity, organizational effectiveness, industrial relations, and leadership development. You will give professional advice on HR policies, procedures, and systems. You will also handle general HR tasks across the entire HR value chain and manage or participate in HR-related projects. Additionally, you will maintain client relations and offer specialist HR guidance as needed.

What you need

You must have a Bachelor’s Degree or B-Tech in Human Resources or Social/Behavioral Sciences with 360 credits at NQF Level 7. You need at least 5 years of solid experience in general HR management and practices. Important skills include knowledge of Eskom’s HR policies, a good understanding of HR processes, familiarity with SAP HR, and awareness of trade union agreements. You should also be accurate, have strong communication and computer skills, and be able to work independently under pressure.
