This is a full-time position at Rhodes University in Makhanda, Eastern Cape. The university is looking for a Senior Finance Administrator to manage short-term risk, investments, and related financial tasks. The role is permanent but may be filled as a fixed-term contract of at least three years.

Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the university’s insurance portfolio, investments, and Board of Governors’ financial matters
- Overseeing bank accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Providing administrative and accounting support with high standards of communication and accuracy

Requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification
- National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in accounting or related field preferred
- 6 years of relevant accounting/finance experience
- Experience with account reconciliations, SAP/Oracle, and insurance administration
- Strong organizational and communication skills
