What you will do:

As a Senior Debtors Clerk, your main tasks will include handling daily cashbook processing to ensure all financial records are accurate and up to date. You will be responsible for processing customer invoices correctly and on time, ensuring all details are captured without errors. Another important part of the job is following up on Proof of Delivery (POD) documents to support invoicing and collections, as missing or delayed PODs can cause delays in payments.

You will also generate and send customer statements according to the company’s rules and procedures. This means ensuring customers receive clear and accurate statements on time. Additionally, you will keep detailed financial records and help solve any issues or questions that customers or colleagues may have about their accounts. The role requires working well under pressure, meeting deadlines, and maintaining a high level of accuracy in all tasks.

What you need:

To qualify for this position, you need at least three years of experience working as a Debtors Clerk or in a similar finance-related role. A strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles is essential, as you will be handling daily financial operations. Experience with accounting software like Sage 200 Evolution or a similar system is a must. Good communication skills are also important, as you will need to interact with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
