We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator to join the iOCO team. This role involves managing and maintaining database systems across on-premise, hybrid, and cloud environments. The position is based in Pretoria, Gauteng, and offers a permanent full-time opportunity.

Responsibilities:
- Administer, monitor, and optimize database environments using SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, and IBM Informix
- Ensure database availability, performance, security, and backup/recovery processes
- Lead cloud migration and modernization projects
- Troubleshoot complex database issues in production
- Implement high-availability solutions
- Develop and maintain database monitoring systems
- Enforce best practices and mentor junior team members

Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Database Administrator (3+ years senior-level)
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Services, and IBM Informix
- Experience managing on-premise, hybrid, and cloud environments
- Skills in performance tuning, security, backup/recovery, and high availability
- Knowledge of T-SQL and database automation/scripting
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Certifications in Microsoft Azure (AZ-104, AZ-305, DP-300) and SQL Server preferred
