What the job is

This is a Senior Credit Risk Analyst position at Weaver Fintech Ltd, a fast-growing financial services company based in Mauritius. The company specializes in digital lending, offering personal loans, credit, and insurance to nearly a million customers across Africa. The role is based in Riche Terre, Mauritius, and is a permanent position.

What you will do

You will analyze large amounts of customer and transaction data to make important credit decisions, such as who to lend to, how much to lend, and at what interest rate. You will create reports and dashboards to track loan performance, develop and test credit strategies, and work with teams across Mauritius and South Africa to improve credit policies. You will also mentor junior analysts and ensure high standards in data analysis and documentation.

What you need

You need at least 5 years of experience in credit risk, data analytics, or a similar role, preferably in banking, fintech, or financial services. A degree in a numerical field like Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Computer Science is required. Strong skills in Excel, SQL, and reporting tools like Power BI are essential. Good communication skills to present findings clearly to different teams are also important.
