What the job is

This is a permanent position for a Senior Clerk Billing Support at Eskom, a leading company in the electricity, energy, and water supply industry. The job is based in Witbank (Emalahleni), Mpumalanga, and focuses on maintaining billing and metering systems for customer service areas. You will work within the Revenue Measurement department, specifically in the LIMLANGA Cluster.

What you will do

You will maintain the field billing and metering handheld system processes. Your tasks will include printing and analyzing reports from the handheld system, executing corrective actions when needed, and identifying estimated meter readings. You will also provide support to the team, prepare and control handheld system equipment, and investigate incorrect bills to ensure accuracy.

What you need

To qualify, you must have a Grade 12 certificate, NCV4, NSC3, or N3, along with a Diploma or Certificate in a relevant field at NQF Level 4 with 120 credits. You need at least 2 years of experience in billing. Strong administrative and computer skills are required, as well as bilingual or multilingual abilities. You should also have good counseling and conflict-handling skills. Personal qualities like integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, and professionalism are important. Leadership skills such as teamwork, motivating others, coaching, mentoring, and developing staff are also valued.
