This is a full-time Senior Brand Strategist position at one of South Africa’s top independent creative agencies, based in Johannesburg and the Sandton area. The agency has been operating for over 20 years and works with exciting brands across different industries. You’ll play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of their most important clients, helping them connect with their audiences in meaningful ways.

Responsibilities:
- Develop strong brand, communication, and integrated strategies that drive results.
- Translate research, data, and consumer insights into clear, actionable ideas.
- Write compelling briefs that inspire creative teams and guide campaigns.
- Build strong client relationships and lead strategic discussions.
- Work closely with creative teams, client service, and external partners to ensure strategy execution.
- Take full ownership of projects from initial brief to final outcome.

Requirements:
- At least 8 years of experience in agency strategy, with 3+ years in a senior role.
- Deep curiosity about people, culture, and business.
- Strong storytelling, presentation, and strategic judgment skills.
- Ability to challenge assumptions and work independently.
- 2-3 examples of best strategic work (case studies or decks with confidential details removed).
