What the job is

This is a full-time position for a Security Compliance Officer at CBRE Excellerate in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The role involves overseeing security operations in the region to ensure that all security staff follow company policies, procedures, and industry regulations. The officer will work closely with clients and the Key Accounts Manager to maintain high service standards and operational efficiency.

What you will do

You will ensure that security personnel follow company policies, operational procedures, and industry regulations. You will conduct on-site training and inductions for new and existing security officers. You will perform basic risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks. You will respond to security incidents, conduct preliminary investigations, and manage their resolution. You will maintain professional relationships with clients and address their concerns promptly. You will also assist with leave requests, staffing schedules, and record-keeping for security operations.

What you need

You must have a Matric certificate and a PSIRA Grade A registration. A valid Code 08 driver’s licence and firearm competency (handgun, shotgun, and rifle) are required. You need at least 3 to 5 years of experience in the security industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Strong knowledge of security regulations, compliance standards, and operational requirements is essential. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills are also required.
