CIRO is a leading coffee company in South Africa, specializing in sourcing, roasting, blending, packaging, and distributing coffee products. They also provide training, equipment, and technical support for coffee and beverage systems. They are looking for a Sales Consultant to join their sales team in Mount Edgecombe, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. This role is perfect for someone who is energetic, outgoing, and passionate about sales.

As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for meeting monthly sales, volume, and margin targets. You will maintain strong relationships with existing customers by following a structured call schedule based on regional criteria. Your role will also involve improving the quality of coffee served to customers by ensuring their equipment is properly calibrated, conducting audits, and providing operational training when needed.

You will work with the Sales Manager to create a list of potential new customers based on sales targets and strategic goals. Your job will include developing new business by making initial contact, assessing customer needs, proposing tailored solutions, and guiding customers through implementation. You will also attend installations and provide training to customers on the day of setup. Travel to visit customers in different areas will be required, including overnight stays when necessary.

Performance will be tracked through monthly one-on-one meetings and progress against the target customer list. You will need to ensure that all agreements made with customers are commercially sound and beneficial for both parties.

To qualify for this role, you must have completed Matric (Grade 12). You should have at least five years of experience in sales, specifically in the Out of Home (OOH) market, with a strong record of developing new business. Experience in cold calling and prospecting is essential. Knowledge of specialty coffee and beverage system solutions will be a big advantage.

You will need a valid driver’s license with at least two years of driving experience. The ability to travel extensively and work with regional management teams is also required. You should be able to offer customized solutions for businesses and industries and handle challenges professionally.
