What you will do

You will work with project managers to enforce safety standards and regulations for the UBL Steel Plant Project. You will create and implement safety policies, procedures, and practices that follow company standards, industry best practices, and local laws. You will conduct safety training for all workers, including new hires, to ensure they understand and follow safety rules. You will perform daily Job Safety Analysis and issue work permits for all tasks. You will oversee workers to ensure they meet safety standards and investigate accidents, injuries, or near-misses, then prepare reports on how to prevent similar incidents in the future. You will develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation and first aid procedures. You will keep records of safety inspections, incidents, and training. You will visit the site regularly to check for safety issues, monitor the use of safety equipment, and ensure it is in good condition. You will also help identify and manage the inventory of safety materials and equipment needed for the project.

What you need

You must have a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. You need at least 3 to 5 years of experience working in heavy industrial environments. You should have strong knowledge of safety regulations, industry best practices, and hazard identification techniques. You must have excellent communication skills, the ability to work well in a team, and strong problem-solving skills to manage multiple tasks at once. You should be proficient in using Microsoft Office and safety management software. You must also be able to read and interpret safety regulations and technical documents.
