Retail Store Assistant - Beacon Bay

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited is looking for a Retail Store Assistant to work at their Beacon Bay store in East London, Eastern Cape. This is a full-time position where you will help manage the day-to-day operations of the store. Your role will involve supporting the store’s smooth running by handling administrative and operational tasks according to company rules and procedures.

As a Retail Store Assistant, you will handle customer complaints and compliments by reporting them to management, build good relationships with customers, and ensure their product-related questions are answered correctly. You will manage cash-related tasks like refunds, returns, and cashier change, verify deliveries and invoices, and prepare daily reports. Additional responsibilities include managing store shortages, reconciling cash, maintaining petty cash records, and assisting customers with inquiries.

Requirements include Matric (Grade 12), basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SAP), retail experience, teamwork ability, customer service skills, leadership, honesty, reliability, and the ability to work under pressure. Additional requirements: South African citizenship, valid driver’s license or reliable transport, clean criminal record, valid Medical Insurance Examination (MIE) certificate, and good credit record.
