What the job is

This is a full-time position for a Retail Merchandise Inventory Planner at Pump and Abrasion Technologies, based in Cape Town, Western Cape. The role is part of the Curve Gear division and focuses on managing stock for apparel and footwear products. The company operates in the fashion and retail industry, and the job involves ensuring the right products are available in the right stores at the right time.

What you will do

You will plan and manage stock levels across all stores, online channels, and warehouses. This includes monitoring weekly sales, identifying fast or slow-moving products, and recommending replenishment actions. You will allocate new stock to stores based on sales history and demand, and ensure stock is balanced across locations. You will also prepare inventory reports, analyze product performance, and work with ERP systems to maintain accurate stock data. Additionally, you will support buying decisions, communicate stock movements to stores and warehouses, and solve stock-related problems to improve inventory flow.

What you need

You need previous experience in apparel, footwear, fashion, retail planning, or inventory management. Strong knowledge of retail stock flow, store replenishment, and inventory systems is essential. You must be skilled in Excel or Google Sheets, have strong problem-solving abilities, and understand how sales, stock, and warehouse movements connect. Good communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure are also required. Experience with size curves, store grading, and product performance analysis will be beneficial.
