What the job is
A luxury fashion company in Johannesburg, Gauteng, is looking for a Retail and Online Sales Director. You will lead their stores and online sales worldwide. You will help the company grow, improve sales, and make sure customers have a great experience in stores and online.

What you will do
- Plan how to grow the company’s stores and online sales in South Africa and other countries.
- Find new markets in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, the UK, and North America.
- Open new stores, including big flagship stores and pop-up shops.
- Work with big department stores and luxury retailers.
- Make sure stores and online sales work well together.
- Improve online shopping, including click and collect, returns, and customer profiles.
- Manage stock to make sure the right products are available at the right time.
- Work with design and supply teams to get products on time.
- Set high standards for stores, including how products are displayed and how staff treat customers.
- Track store performance and find ways to improve.
- Create programs to keep customers happy and coming back.
- Meet sales and profit goals.
- Study sales data and customer trends.
- Hire, train, and lead a strong team.
What you need
- A degree in Retail, Business, or a related field.
- An MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
- At least 10-15 years of experience in retail, with 5 years in luxury fashion.
- Experience growing a retail business in different countries.
- Knowledge of online and in-store sales.
- Understanding of how luxury customers shop.
- Experience with stock management and online sales.
- Strong business and financial skills.
- Good at planning and leading teams.
- Ability to work with partners and manage change.
